We’ve made the decision to stay open tonight until people stop calling/coming in, or we run out of ingredients (again)! We want to make sure everyone gets a last slice. ❤️ We love you all so much, and cannot express our gratitude with the right words. Thank you for showing up tonight! 🍕😭

Final call today! 😮‍💨🍕 Guys… you ran us out of sauce & cheese! We didn’t expect to be grabbing ingredients on the last day, but here we are! 😅 We’ll be open from 3-9 tonight making as many pies as we can! Please be aware that we expect a busy night and busy phones, so please don’t be discouraged if you can’t get through quickly. We’ll be doing our best to answer phones while serving up pizzas. We invite everyone to come by, take photos, share your memories & have a last slice with us. ❤️ We also encourage everyone to check out Mia Pizzeria in Queensbury when you’re craving a Pope’s pie (hint: he used to help run Pope’s, so you know what you’re getting). Giulio will take good care of you.

Also, everything you can see is for sale (minus the family photos on the wall we still have up and some products that have to be returned to our vendors). Curtains, lighting, etc. Make us an offer! For larger items (coolers, tables, booths, etc.) please send us a message.

I remember Friday’s being at the restaurant as a kid. Answering phones, helping out where I can, going on deliveries to stay out of the way. Crazy that this will be our last Friday. This week has been a very emotional week for all of us as this will be our last weekend open. We thank you all again and hope to see you today and or tomorrow for one last slice.

We’ve had quite a few people reaching out asking if we are closed due to busy phone lines. We are OPEN until Sept 12! We have been FAR busier than usual since announcing our closure, and our phones have been ringing off the hook! 😅 Which we appreciate!! But please bare with us while we do our best to answer every call while serving customers in-person & making pizzas! Thank you all for your support ❤️

Wow. It’s already September. It’s crazy how time flies by. 12 more days to go. This ride has produced so many emotions and we cant thank you enough for the support since we announced we are shutting our doors. We hope to see you for one last slice/pizza/calzone.

40 years ago, a man and his wife took a risk on creating a business to support his family. Since then, Pope’s Italian Restaurant has gone on an incredible journey to building a community & becoming a staple in the Saratoga area. From our start on Broadway to our current location on Washington Street, we couldn’t have done it without you. With all good things, this journey has come to an end. We’re ready to take a step back and focus on family— the thing that started this all. We hope you all know that though this may come as a shock to some, this isn’t a decision we made lightly, and with bittersweet hearts, we’re ready for a new chapter.

We would like to thank the employees, vendors, bands, tourists, bloggers, and most importantly you all in the community for the 40 years of support. Our family will never forget you and the memories we have made over the years. Our last day will be on Saturday, Sept 12th. We hope you’ll come in until then, join us for a last slice, share your memories with us, and let us serve you one last time. Thank you for all of your support over the years, and God bless you all. ❤️🇮🇹
