Power has been restored to the store after 11 days. I'm working hard to get the dipping cabinets ready for ice cream and should be open by Tuesday (10/22) with a limited supply of ice cream. What a journey this has been.

Made it out to the store this afternoon. The west lanes of the smaller bridge is out so we merge to the other bridge and had 2-way traffic there. The store (and entire circle) is in pretty good shape. There was about 2" of water in the store this time. A big transformer behind the store was blown off its pole and is just hanging there by wires. So, there is no power to the store or water yet. Looks like it might be 2 weeks or so before we can get open again.

Power & internet have finally been restored. No word on the store because I can't get out there. Reports are that one of the smaller bridges has some structural damage & it will be a day or two before they have an answer. The eye of Milton came over Sarasota & I was out in it enjoying the calmness (for a while). Personally, I am fine. Very little damage to my house & the area I live in. Mostly branches & trees in the roadway.
