“ 🚂 Brunch with a side of living history at — one of Sarasota’s most unique dining experiences! 🍓🥞
Step back in time at Station 400. This flagship location in the heart of the Rosemary District is housed in a beautifully restored **1852 railroad depot** originally built in Kentland, Indiana. In the golden era of American railroads — when trains were the primary way people traveled long distances — depots like this were bustling hubs of community and connection. Passengers took genuine pride in every journey, dressing for travel and making time to explore the station while waiting for their departures. It was a time when life moved at a more deliberate pace, and these buildings embodied hospitality and anticipation for the road ahead.
The entire historic depot was painstakingly disassembled piece by piece, transported across the country, and lovingly reassembled right here in Sarasota. After meticulous restoration, it now stands as a stunning tribute to its 170+ year-old roots — filled with rich architectural character, warm wood tones, classic lighting, and that unmistakable sense of timeless charm. Dining here feels like stepping into a piece of living history while enjoying modern comforts.
The downtown Sarasota location (400 N. Lemon Ave.) serves breakfast & lunch all day with fresh, local ingredients and creative twists on classics you’ll crave: Belgian waffles piled high with strawberries, banana & chocolate, stuffed French toast, inventive Eggs Benedicts (try the Fried Green Tomato or Truffle versions), smoked salmon bagels with all the fixings, refreshing açai bowls, and so much more. Whether you’re inside the historic dining room or relaxing on the peaceful covered patio surrounded by lush plants, it’s the perfect spot to slow down and savor good food and conversation.
They also have a second location on **Lakewood Ranch Main Street** (8215 Lakewood Main St.) featuring the same delicious menu in a bright, welcoming space inspired by the original historic flagship.
