Career advice I give my young team and my own kids most often…(since I’m at the computer today… 😉)

1. Create more value to become more valuable in the marketplace. Your raise is effective when you are.

2. Make sure that something you naturally enjoy and are talented in is a core aspect of how you make money IF you want to be near or at the top of other earners in your field. Be a “nerd” at something.

3. If someone can easily explain what you do all day at work, the chances of it becoming automated are VERY high.

4. Invest your first hour of wage every day and pay yourself first. Become an owner of assets, not just a consumer. Create optionality for your future self. Your dream, once you find it, WILL cost money.

5. If you give 10% more value than the other person, product or company consistently over time- you don’t get 10% more. You get to be in the top 1% of people doing what you do. It compounds.

6. You will ALWAYS attract more of whatever you pay attention to.

7. People pay people to solve problems. The more expensive and urgent the problem is, the more people pay for it to be solved. So solve expensive problems or create systems that solve large volumes of smaller problems.

8. It’s easy to do most things. But it’s much easier not to. Most people will often choose the latter- which means there’s opportunity there to provide a service for just about everything. Don’t allow something like “someone is already doing it.” to be the thing that stops you.

9. Lots of people are looking to invest in ambitious young people with a clear vision for success. The money is there for you. Work on selling your vision.

10. Think of AI like one of those dragons from Game of Thrones. You can either learn to ride it and fly around or remain on the ground and be subject to its power. The dragon isn’t evil. It’s just a dragon that does dragon things. But you definitely want to be one of the guys that has one and can fly it, instead of one of the guys that doesn’t and can’t.

Your support has shown my team what passion, consistency, and genuine care can accomplish over time. It gives my daughters a place to build confidence, learn a strong work ethic, and discover the joy of creating value for others.
