Here’s another behind the scenes look at the bakery… The moments that don’t always go as planned, but somehow still remind us how much good can come from a challenge.

Our 20-quart mixer went down on Wednesday so our team rallied together every KitchenAid mixer we could find to keep production moving. They’ve been working overtime on high speed for the last few days while the 20-quart mixer is being fixed with a new gear.

Today we picked up this 30-quart mixer, which was no small task. Thankfully, we have some amazing friends and family who helped move this 550 pound beast up a flight of stairs, into a trailer, and safely to the bakery.

A huge thank you to Bryan, Scott and my Dad for all of the help, we couldn’t have done it without you guys!

Everyone, meet Betty. She’s going to be a powerhouse addition to the bakery. 🤣

The ugly truth of business…sometimes things break and you take a big hit. Our freezer decided to call it quits and unfortunately we lost A LOT of product. 😩

We had to toss all of our popsicles, all dairy free ice cream, 3-gallon ice cream buckets and several other items. Because of that, those items won’t be available today, but we’ll have everything restocked and back for Tuesday!

The good news is we didn’t lose all of our hand dipped ice cream since most of our back stock was stored in a different freezer. So stop in, grab some ice cream and enjoy this beautiful Sunday with us!

Now it’s time to buckle up, get back to work and go freezer shopping!

I always love delivering to Bay Pointe Woods in Shelbyville. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and seeing all of the special touches each couple adds to make it their own is so fun. Thank you for letting us be a part of your LoMi Studiospecial day!

A couple weeks ago we had the opportunity to deliver to Helmer Castle in Jackson and wow…what a beautiful venue! It was truly a sight to see. Such a perfect location for a small event or intimate wedding.
