That is some serious dedication!

There are loyal employees… and then there’s Terrance.

In 23 years, Terrance has never missed clocking in for a Country Kitchen lunch shift.

Some of our longtime regulars may already know this story, but it’s still one of my favorite stories to tell about one of our favorite people.

If you know Terrance, you already know he has two favorite things:

Country Kitchen and the Carolina Panthers.

If he’s not wearing a Country Kitchen work shirt, there’s a pretty good chance he’s wearing Panthers gear.

So years ago, when one of our customers invited Terrance to watch the Panthers play the Saints from his box seats, this was a REALLY big deal.

But Terrance turned him down.

Why?

Because he couldn’t miss work.

So Skipper came up with a solution.

He told Terrance that his job for the day was to go to the game and represent Country Kitchen.

So we clocked him in for his regular hours, sent him off to watch his Panthers from box seats, and clocked him out at his normal time.

And that is the only Country Kitchen lunch Terrance has missed in 23 years.

And technically… he was still on the clock.

For 23 years, Terrance has shown up. Day after day, lunch after lunch, year after year. (Thats over 7,000 lunch shifts)

Apparently it takes box seats to see his favorite team AND a direct order from the boss to get him out of Country Kitchen for one lunch.

If you know Terrance, you know just how perfectly this story sums him up.

He is one of the most loyal, dependable and loved parts of Country Kitchen, and we truly can’t imagine this place without him.

Ok. To be honest, I may be too sensitive to be a restaurant owner. 😬😆
I try not to read comments on posts because of this. But yesterday, we were tagged in a post, so I read some of the comments.
MOST OF THE TIME, the comments are very nice and supportive but not always.
This is what one person said,
"I know Cafe75 is popular, but that one is on our "Don't go back" list. "
Imagine making a meal for someone in your home and then hearing that they are telling people they would never go back. Yeah, it hurts a little to hear, but more so, you would probably wonder why. Me too.
We would love to know what put us on that list...not to argue or deny any wrongdoing. We just want to learn and do better.
We don't want anyone to have a bad experience
We want everyone to leave happy.
So if you aren't happy with your experience, please let us know so we can fix it and/or learn from it.
Don't just post these random drive-by comments that help no one. Talk to US, so we can know how to do better so you...and others can have a good experience. ❤️
We've never said we are perfect.
We are trying to do our best, though.

*By the way, NO restaurant wants you to have a bad experience. Please let them know if something is wrong so they can fix it.😊
