Did you know that Politician Soup is the only item at the Senate cafeteria that is required to be served daily. It is a reminder to those who sit down and eat that they are nothing more than bean counters.

Sure, the level of pork and fat has increased in the recipe to add flavor, so they say, and I am all in favor of flavor. What’s more important is that everyone has a seat at the table and is treated equally with kindness.

Natalie and I attended the debate last week for Solvang Mayor. It was refreshing to see two people show respect for each other. Politics is local. If you want to know who we are endorsing, we like Jamie Baker. We like his ideas and his desire to find win-win in every decision possible. We like David Brown as well and it was good to know that he remains on the council win or lose. So Natalie said, vote for Jamie and we get the win-win.
