Hey, Insta friends! I’ve got some bittersweet news to share with you today.
After much thought and consideration, I have made the tough decision to temporarily close up shop. I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for your incredible support and love. You've made my baking journey unforgettable, and I am forever grateful for the memories I’ve shared with you.
For those who are interested in how this cookie crumbled here are a few of the main reasons that lead to this decision:
Running a small business ain't a piece of cake (pun intended!) and requires a lot of loss (sleep, time with family, and yes, money). Some people may think bakers charge “an arm and a leg” but that’s only looking at the tip of the iceberg and not taking into account all the background costs associated with running a full, legal operation
Additionally, the market has become jam-packed (again, pun intended!). While there are many truly fantastic bakers out there that I am lucky to be working amongst, there are also a lot who are not licensed - they might be amazing and I don’t doubt that, but please understand what it takes to follow the rules and support those who pay the fees and taxes associated (and remember, these regulations are in place to protect YOU).
Last (but not least!) I’m a mom of the two sweetest little boys and they demand a LOT of my time and attention. Family always comes first, and I hope you understand.
