Florida’s coastline is a fundamental part of our economy and our way of life, and we must conserve our state’s natural beauty for all to enjoy. SB 1622 restores local control, cuts red tape, and puts Floridians first.

SB 1622 also allows the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to move forward with beach restoration in critically eroded areas. Under this new law, much-needed investments in rebuilding our beaches will go toward sand and vegetation—not litigation.

I’m proud to stand for Floridians’ freedom to enjoy the God-given natural wonders of our state.
