Charlie Hong Kong opened on a bustling street corner in Santa Cruz in 1998. The purpose: to create a neighborhood eatery with a menu that offers healthy, sustainable, flavorful food at a great value -- and served fast! Today, we’re a fun, one-of-a-kind place creating fusion dishes inspired by the savory flavors of Southeast Asia and California. We use locally sourced, organic produce to build our vegan-focused menu, and fish, chicken, and other meat options are also available -- we welcome all kinds here! You’re welcome to enjoy your meal on our covered patio or take it to go. We know you’re busy, active people who care about what they eat. You deserve lovingly prepared food that you’ll love and that loves you back. That’s what we’re all about!

Our hearts are FULL. ❤️🌎

Thank you to everyone who came out to Heal the World yesterday and helped us fill the day with music, laughter, kindness, and community.

We were so lucky to hear incredible performances from Mountain Music School, Dotty & Friends, Threshold Choir, our circle dancers, and Not Yet Old Dog! 🎶

And the kids absolutely made the day—from running our temporary tattoo stand, to face painting with materials and guidance from the wonderful Melissa Bernstein, to learning how to safely handle a bearded dragon with Fran! 🦎✨

A special shoutout to Prevedelli Farms for the AMAZING apples 🍎 and to all of our performers for bringing so much energy, joy, and love to the day.

Most of all, thank YOU to everyone who showed up, participated, danced, sang, volunteered, and helped us spread a little more love and kindness in the world.

That’s what Heal the World is all about. ❤️🌎
