A fresh new look for your favorite beans.

When we started dreaming up our new packaging, it was important to us that it still felt like Alta.

We partnered with local artist and designer Samantha Crocker to help us update our look, with the intention of keeping the essence of Alta’s original branding while bringing the whole line together.

We wanted to hold onto some of the original designs that mean so much to us, while giving them a fresh new life. Our new logo incorporates different elements of the coffee world, highlighting the many hands it takes for a bean to be grown, harvested, processed and prepared before it makes its way to your cup.

And don’t worry, inside the new bags is still the same organic, air-roasted coffee you know and love, roasted right here every day.

For those who are new around here, we thought we’d reintroduce ourselves.

We’re Lilly + Melia Spooner, and earlier this year we stepped into the next chapter of our family’s 40+ year history with Alta.

We grew up with Alta as a constant in our lives, from sorting green beans and stickering bags after school to working behind the bar, roasting coffee, managing the floor, and now helping carry the business forward.

Taking on what our Nana, Patti, built over four decades is an incredible honor, and while a new generation is behind the wheel, the heart of Alta isn’t changing: really good organic coffee, taking care of our people, supporting sustainable practices, and creating a place where everyone feels welcome.

Whether you’ve been drinking Alta for decades or just found us, we’re so happy you’re here.
