While there is plenty of coffee available in Santa Clarita, we felt there was a need for a true coffee "house". A place you want to go not just for great coffee, but to hang out, see people you know, connect, relax, and feel welcomed. We are striving to bring that to Newhall. We (John and Darla) had a our first date at a coffee house in Oregon and have always loved coffee. We wanted to create a pl

After 11 amazing years, this space has been a place our community called home. While this chapter has come to an end, we’re excited to share that San Fernando Coffee Company will be continuing the story in this beloved space.

Dear Honu family,

With tears in our eyes and love in our hearts, we want to say thank you from our family to yours. The outpouring of support over the past two weeks has truly blown us away, and we are beyond grateful to each and every one of you who showed up to say goodbye to Honu.

We are so incredibly proud of this little coffee shop and all it has accomplished, and we’re thankful you helped us go out with a bang. Honu has always been more than a place to grab coffee, it’s been a community. That said, none of this would have been possible without our amazing team, who showed up every single day with exceptional customer service and incredible drinks, or without our loyal customers who continuously supported us and made this space feel like home.

Seeing the impact Honu has had on this community has made this journey completely worth it. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the love, support, and memories you’ve shared with us over the years.

Please stay tuned over the next few weeks as we highlight some of our amazing vendors and share ways you can continue to support them. We’ll also be posting updates about what’s next for this incredible space that we’ve had the privilege of calling home in Old Town Newhall for the past 11+ years.
