Student practice! ☕️💗

Today we had such a supportive group of students trying latte art for the very first time! The good news? EVERYONE made a heart! YAYYY!! 🎉👏

But somehow… every heart looked completely different 👀🤔🤣 And that’s part of the fun!

Student practice! ☕️💗 We just need a little more commitment in Step 2 — the space between the two lines on the cup. Pour a little faster there so the heart can expand and look fuller in the cup!

Student practice! 🍵✨ I’d say this was pretty good!

A few little tips: start your pour slightly higher so the matcha and milk integrate better. Spend more time for the space between two lines. Toward the end, don’t forget to straighten your cup as you finish so it doesn’t spill 👏👏👏

Overall, this pour looked really confident! The pouring speed was good, the lines were thin, the shape was symmetrical, and the pattern expanded beautifully. And that matcha color! 💚

I’m not sure if you guys can see the difference before and after I reposition the pitcher and the steam wand—the movement is so subtle and it’s hidden under the white milk. 🥛

But basically, the goal is to find the right position to create a stronger vortex. Once you get that smooth, consistent vortex going, it pulls in and breaks down the larger bubbles you introduced during the initial aeration process, helping create that silky microfoam we want for latte art. ☕️✨
