Well, for us, the holiday marks not only French Independence Day, but also the day we opened our doors for the first dinner service in 1998! For the past 28 years, this birthday party par excellence has allowed us to embrace iconic French dishes and wines that don't come across our menu very often. This is Tom. Tom's been a waiter at bouchon since Pygmy Mammoths were roaming the Channel Islands, or around fifteen years, give or take. If you dine in his section, know not only will you be taken care of with generosity and flair, but you'll receive great suggestions for local wine pairings. Tom's current favorite by the glass is Graham Tatomer's Grüner Veltliner 'Meeresboden', Santa Barbara County.

From the Paris Wine Expo straight to bouchon!
Mitchell had the opportunity to travel to Paris this past February to explore some more French wines at the source. He met with Dominique & Frederique Vayron, a mother and daughter from family winemakers of , proudly producing some of the best wines of Bordeaux's Pomerol region since 1840. It was truly a special visit, and a great opportunity to have a face-to-face with the winemakers, to taste, and to learn their amazing histories! As a family-operated restaurant, it's so important to support other small family-run businesses in the industry! 🍇
