Maybe we were never meant to be just one thing.
A physician. A founder. A creator. A dreamer. A builder. A mentor. A student learning, failing, healing, growing—and becoming someone new along the way.

torotea is the artful manifestation of every role she has ever had to play, every road she has walked, every hardship she has carried, and every lesson life has handed her. It is also a reflection of every accomplishment, every celebration, and every beautiful human being who left something behind. Not as a perfect formula, but as a collage. A living, unfinished piece of art that could only become torotea because of everything that came before it.

And maybe that’s true for all of us. The different hats you’ve worn, the worlds you’ve entered, the paths that didn’t make sense at the time, the skills you picked up along the way—none of it was wasted. You are not limited by one category. Keep expanding. Keep creating. Keep becoming. One day, all those seemingly separate pieces may come together and become something uniquely yours.

May this new home in the Arts District be dedicated to the creative minds, relentless spirits, curious souls, and limitless dreams.

As the creator of torotea—and a full-time practicing healthcare provider myself—I’ve spent years serving the wellness of our community while navigating the beautiful exhaustion that comes with caring for others.

Since day one of torotea, I’ve wanted to create a space where people from all different positions and walks of the field could come together, take a breath, and simply be.

Because I know I’m not the only one who has leaned on tea to get through the long shifts, the chaos, the bloody shows, and the endless days.

We may be exhausted when our shifts end, but I also know we carry something special—pride in the skills we’ve built, the work we do, and the privilege of being there for people in moments that mattered.

So, before torotea opens its newest home in the DTLA Arts District, I want to dedicate one day to you.

HEALTH CARE LOVES, this one’s for us.

DTLA - Arts District, we’re coming. 🤟🏽

There’s something about this part of the city that feels different — yet unmistakably LA.

A little raw. A little unconventional. Quietly chic.
Where artistry lives in the spaces between things, and creativity doesn’t need permission to exist.

Maybe that’s why, after a decade, we found our way back to you — carrying with us a memory that never quite left.

Fifteen years ago, our founder’s husband lived in this very neighborhood, in the heart of Little Tokyo, while attending USC for grad school. It was home then — a place where countless ordinary days quietly shaped the person he would become.

With the newest Metro connection bringing you straight into the heart of Little Tokyo and the Arts District, this little pocket of LA feels more connected than ever — to art, to culture, to community, and to everything still becoming.

We’re beautifully honored to become another little piece of art woven into this vibrant and ever-evolving district, carrying with us the artistry, craft, and purpose of torotea.

Another new chapter is steeping in Downtown LA.

You turned a wait into a celebration! 🥹🥰

Through every moment, every conversation, and every drop of sweat running down your temples, we were there with you—and we will carry these memories into every cup we brew.

Tea has always been our way of bringing people together: a place where passions meet, dreams are shared, and a community inspires one another to keep creating, keep dreaming, and keep moving forward.

Introducing •Muscat Oolong• —our newest expression of tea. Crafted for those who seek presence over intoxication, clarity over escape, and rituals that leave both the mind and soul feeling fuller.
From it comes •Muscat Oolong Passion Bloom• —the newest addition to our Tea Mocktails collection. It carries the gesture of a fine pour, with tropical fruit, delicate florals, and the malty depth of tea.

This is more than a new drink.
It’s our belief that tea deserves a place where w**e once stood—on date nights, alongside celebrations, after long days, through difficult conversations, and in the moments worth savoring.

Built between the magic of coastal calm, the unrelenting moments carved between scrubs and long shifts, and a longing for tea and spaces that feel soulful and still — this new home was imagined to carry the golden essence of Orange County.

May this project be a heartfelt testament that even our deepest inner wounds can be transformed into light for others — a quiet becoming that shaped this space to illuminate, restore, and give back.

We’re endlessly grateful for the hearts and hands who helped bring this chapter to life, and even more so for the OC community, for your support from day one, and for every drive you made to Diamond Bar long before this space ever existed.
