Sanibel History Supporting a Moment of National History

Few names are as closely woven into the story of Sanibel as Bailey’s and the Johnson family.

With generations of family history on the island, the Johnson family has long been part of the fabric of this community—serving neighbors, supporting Sanibel and helping carry forward a legacy that spans generations.

We are grateful to A Bit of Bailey’s and the Johnson family for their generous $500 donation to A Field of Heroes. Their contribution will sponsor flags in the field, helping us honor and remember the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001.

There is something especially meaningful about a family so deeply rooted in Sanibel’s history helping our community preserve the memory of such an important chapter in our nation’s history.

Thank you to A Bit of Bailey’s and the Johnson family for your generosity, your longstanding commitment to Sanibel and for helping us ensure we never forget.
