This guy had one of the most “classy” and commented on “Employee of the Month” pics. Who remembers what Case was wearing? Case is currently a sophomore at Purdue. He is studying mechanical engineering with the goal of working in the automotive industry. If that wasn’t cool enough, he recently studied abroad in Florence Italy! 🇮🇹 Keep it classy Case! We’re proud of you! 🍦😎✌🏻

Happy New Year from Joey’s Custard! 🎉🍦🎉🍦When we first wrote Corrie Ten Boom’s famous quote on our sandwich sign, we never imagined how accurate it would be. But here we are, entering into 2024 and “trusting an unknown future to a KNOWN God”. A big thank you to all of our Joey’s Custard extended family who have supported us as we patiently (and sometimes impatiently) wait to rebuild. ❤️✌🏻🍦🥳

Time for another staff update! Cassidy is currently playing soccer at Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee and majoring in business management. As if school and soccer weren’t keeping her busy, she is also involved in 2 ministry groups and working as a tutor for math and business. She is still dating John (another former long time Joeys employee from way back when), who is fire fighting and doing ride alongs for his EMT. 🍦❤️🍦

It’s another week and another “Where are they now staff update”. Today is another special one- please help us as we wish Heidi a happy birthday! Heidi, a junior, is currently attending a local collegiate high school and working towatds graduating next year with her associates degree. After that, she plans to pursue a medical degree with the final goal of becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon. We aren’t 100% sure what that is, but know that she will do great! 🍦❤️✌🏻

Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 from our family to yours… we have so much to be thankful for!

We thought today would be the perfect day for another “Where Are They Now” 👀 moment. As we celebrate Thanksgiving, we wanted to share what has been happening in the lives of our Joey's Custard ownership family because over the past year God has been so gracious to us.

As some of you know, the hurricane literally moved our family home 40’ and flooded our family business, causing both to be totally torn down and relocating us out of Sanibel for the time being. 🥲 In this season since the storm, we have learned to really lean in to a deeper level of trust in God, and we are so grateful that He goes before us, knowing what we do not know. Life has been busy for us this year, as we have five kids in five new/different schools 😳, having sent our oldest off to college while our youngest is in preschool! And in between we have a high school senior, freshman and a kindergartner! 🤯 As hard as it was on all of us to leave our beautiful and beloved Sanibel, 🏝 we know with certainty we are exactly where we are supposed to be right now. We await the rebuild of Bailey's General Store plaza and WE WILL BE THERE with bells 🔔 on as soon as we can serve you all again! In the meantime we find so much comfort from the words of Corrie Ten Boom, words that welcomed our customers from our first day of ownership all the way up until the storm washed them away: “Never Be Afraid to Trust an Unknown Future to a Known God.” 🙏

Katherine is currently living in North Carolina and finishing her associates. She is planning to transfer to NC state to pursue a degree in business. As of right now she is working at a real estate office and as part time as a barista. 🍦😊😎

Another “Where Are They Now” 🧐 Joey's Custard team member update on a fun and special day. 🎉
Please first join us in wishing a very happy birthday 🎂 🥳 to our amazing store manager, Kari Wheeler!
And to give you a quick update on her, a lot has happened in her life since the storm! Hurricane Ian actually played a role in Kari reconnecting with a grade school crush who became her husband this past June! 👰‍♀️ 🤵‍♂️ How cool is that?! AND they just found out they are pregnant with a sibling for their sweet daughter Abbie!!!! These are some of the many ways we have witnessed the Lord bringing beauty from ashes and working all things together for good! 🙏 We can’t wait to have Kari back running the store and serving you all again soon!
