🇮🇹 Feeling as Italian as can be right now as the families visit back home in Napoli these next few weeks. Mike and Rosario were both born and raised in Monte di Procida (Mountain of Procida), a small coastal town just outside of Naples, Italy, before coming to the states and working down the east coast and then settling in Sanford.

Bringing the flavors of Southern Italy to us here locally, this week’s specials are going to reflect some of our favorite Neapolitan dishes and traditional recipes from our nonnas. 👵🏽

Check out our Napoli inspired specials this week and few looks at life behind the scenes with the family and food, food, and MORE food! 🫄🏽

👨🏽‍🍳 Pasta al Forno 🥘
Classic southern Neapolitan dish from back home, rigatoni casserole with diced ham, salami, and a mix parm, ricotta, and mozzarella cheeses. 🤌🏽

🥓 Fettuccini Carbonara 🍳
Bacon, eggs, and parmesan cooked and blended together in a light cream sauce served with Fettuccini or your choice of pasta.

🍤 Fra Diavola 🔥
Shrimps, clams, and scallops all cooked in our marinara sauce with a dash of red pepper for a spicy kick, and then tossed with linguini noodles.

We know there's a lot of construction going on over where Riverbirch used to be and where the new Target is being built, but don't let that keep you from visiting some of the great local businesses in that area!

We stopped by Elizabeth's Pizza last night and had a fantastic meal. Angelo and his family are wonderful people and come support us at Mrs. Lacy's almost every week, so we wanted to return the favor and encourage everyone to support them as well. 🍕🍝

And we've got to tell you about the tiramisu... 😍

We've been eating at Elizabeth's for years and somehow had never tried it. What a mistake! It was absolutely incredible—light, fluffy, flavorful, and honestly some of the best tiramisu we've ever had. If you've never ordered it, do yourself a favor and save room for dessert!

Gnocchi dumplings in our slow-cooked Bolognese meat sauce topped with parmesan, basil, and parsley for added flavor.

🚨 Update #3 + NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN!!!! 🚧🚗

Ciao everyone! 👋🏽

🏬 Another update to the redevelopment of Riverbirch! The buildings and area where the recent men’s Belk used to be (also Ekerds, Winn-Dixie, our old Elizabeth’s Pizza location, etc) has been leveled for reconstruction. It looks like the buildings that were planning to be taken down have been taken down. Belk is still standing and planning to stay from what we’ve heard! 👀

For a traffic update happening tomorrow:

⚠️ There will be a NEW traffic pattern upon entering the shopping center. Check out the image below for an idea of what to expect.

The original entry way will merge into one of the lanes exiting the shopping center creating a two-lane road. This is expected to begin Thursday, June 11 with construction on the road starting Monday, June 15. Construction is slated to continue for several weeks.

🗞️ We’ll communicate any additional updates as we receive them. Stay tuned to our page and other social media for updates!
