They’ve been part of STRIVE from the very beginning, so it feels only right to celebrate the ultimate shop dogs on National Dog Day. 🐾❤️

From Lukin, our original STRIVE mascot, to Aspen and Sitka, our dogs have never been just dogs. They’ve been the heart of STRIVE—often greeting everyone who walks through the door, occasionally sleeping through the day, and always becoming beloved fixtures here. They’ve also been a huge part of my life through every chapter.
They’ve been there from the very beginning—through different locations, long days, big changes, celebrations, hard times, and just about everything in between. Looking back through these photos, it’s incredible to see just how much of our story and literally every single day they’ve been a key part of.
We’re asked all the time where these beautiful, sweet, ridiculously well-behaved dogs came from—and yes, they’re all rescues. ❤️
Somewhere along the way, they became part of this community too. So many of you have loved them, checked in on them, and followed their lives right alongside ours. When Aspen needed us most, this community showed up for her—and for us—in a way I’ll never forget.
National Dog Day celebrates the dogs we love while also bringing awareness to dogs in need of rescue, so it feels like the perfect excuse to share 20 of the hundreds—no, thousands—of photos that tell their story.
They’ve left their paw prints all over STRIVE—and most definitely all over my family’s life. ❤️🐾
