For one candlelit November night, we’re turning The Dunbar House into our own little corner of France — where the w**e is flowing, dinner lasts for hours, and nobody is in a hurry to leave.

Chef Patrick Hurley has dreamt up five courses of French deliciousness — Gruyère gougères, duck confit, wild mushroom vol-au-vent, braised short rib and dark chocolate pot de crème — with a beautiful Bordeaux poured alongside each course.

And because every good trip to Bordeaux needs a guide, Carl McCoy will be joining us to present the w**es and take us through the vineyards, châteaux and stories behind each glass.

The gardens haven’t finished showing off just yet…

Heritage Museums & Gardens is still dressed in magnificent shades of pink, with blooms glowing against the first hints of autumn. Wander the garden paths, breathe in the crisp October air and savor one of the season’s final floral displays.

Then make your way into Sandwich Village for a warm pot of tea, a cozy lunch and something sweet at Dunbar House. Because the loveliest fall days are the ones enjoyed slowly.

Heritage Museums & Gardens is open daily from 10 AM–5 PM through October 18.

Creamy Potato & Leek Soup
Butter-Poached Lobster & English Cheddar Quiche with our soup du jour.
