Port Austin has been absolutely kicking my ass… but that’s a good problem to have.

The good news is online ordering has been working great.

One quick favor… if anyone happens to be driving through Fort Gratiot and sees the Realtor sign in the window of the building I mention in the video, could you snap me a picture of it? I meant to stop and grab one myself the other day, but by the time I was heading out of town it completely slipped my mind. I can’t seem to find it anywhere online.

🚨 Port Austin online ordering is officially back!

You can now order online at RysePizza.com.

One quick favor: please double-check that you’ve selected the correct location before placing your order. We now have two stores (Sandusky & Port Austin), and it’s easy to accidentally pick the wrong one.

The wait times you see online are the same wait times we’d give you over the phone, so ordering online is the quickest and easiest way to get your order in.

As always, if you run into any issues, just give us a call. See you soon! 🍕

I swear this business makes no sense.

Monday was slow enough that I thought I had the week figured out. Then yesterday both stores got absolutely hammered. It felt like a Friday night for no reason.

You can look at sales history, weather, events… and sometimes none of it matters. People just decide today’s the day they’re getting pizza.

Keeps us guessing, but I’ll take busy over boring every time.

We’re open and taking orders! 🍕 Both ovens are up and running, but it’s pretty clear they both have a case of my least favorite problem…

Intermittent. 😑

The bottom oven was supposed to be the issue… then the top oven decided to stop working. I flipped it off, gave it one more shot, and it fired right back up.

Looks like it’s time to call my boy Tony Pepperoni from Thumb Cooling & Heating… Ryse Pizza’s official oven whisperer. 🔧🍕

The gap between “good enough” and “damn, that’s good” is usually a hundred tiny decisions nobody notices.

I obsess over those.

I want your opinion. I need your help.

First off, sorry… this video ended up being almost 4 minutes long. 😅

If you don’t want to watch the whole thing, here’s the short version:

We’re about 70% takeout and 30% dine-in. That 30% creates a surprising amount of extra work because every pizza has to be sorted onto either a platter or into a box. It slows the kitchen down, takes up space, creates more dishes, and a lot of people end up asking for a box for leftovers anyway.

So here’s my question:

How bad would it really be if every pizza—dine-in or takeout—was just served in the pizza box?

Would that bother you, or would you rather get your food a little faster?

I’d really appreciate your honest opinion.

A little while back, I made a joke in one of my videos that getting a six-star review would be pretty cool.

Today I found this sitting outside the restaurant.

I have no idea who made it, but thank you. Stuff like this means a lot more than you probably realize.

We spend every day trying to make the pizza a little better and the experience a little better. Moments like this are a reminder that people notice the effort.
