We got absolutely ROCKED yesterday 😂 I’m not gonna pretend like it went flawlessly.
It’s been so quiet the last couple weeks that I really didn’t know what to expect, but apparently Labor Day is basically Fourth of July-level business. We’ll remember that for next year.
If your order came out slow yesterday, I’m sorry. Somewhere around 7:00 we fell about 15 minutes behind, and once you’re 15 minutes behind, it’s almost impossible to claw your way back out. You kinda just live 15 minutes behind the rest of the night.
This is honestly what I’m working on every day. I don’t really have a bigger goal right now than figuring out how to make Ryse handle crazy volume better.
I would LOVE to know exactly how the big chains do it.
Could you imagine me showing up with my Meta glasses, flipping through the employee handbook and asking questions no normal employee would ever ask? 😂
“So… how exactly does the computer pace orders?”
“How does it know how many people are working?”
“Does it throttle orders based on what the kitchen can realistically make?”
“How do you calculate how long an order should take?”
Meanwhile the manager is just standing there like…
“You’re pretty good at making pizza. Have you done this before?”
“Nah. First day.” 😂
