🍝 THROWBACK THURSDAY — Where It All Began ❤️

Take a look at this throwback from 1985!

At just 26 years old, Angelo was already making his mark in the restaurant business. This was his first restaurant, the original Roma Ristorante Italiano on Nine Mile Road in Highland Springs.

What started as one restaurant, a dream, and a whole lot of hard work became a 36-year journey at the Nine Mile Road location. Over the years, countless families celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, first dates, and special moments around those tables.

Eventually, Roma relocated to what is now Roma Ristorante Italiano Catering & Events in Mechanicsville but the heart of Roma has never changed.

Fast forward to today, and Angelo and his family have been proudly serving the Richmond area for more than 40 years. Through the generations, one thing has remained at the center of it all family, food, tradition, and the people who have supported us along the way.

Every great dining experience starts the moment you walk through the door and for so many of our guests, that first experience begins with Michelle! ❤️

Originally from Venezuela, Michelle has been part of the Roma family for the past 2 years, bringing her warm smile and welcoming personality to the front of the restaurant every day.

As our hostess, Michelle is the first smiling face you see when you arrive. She keeps the flow of the restaurant organized, helps make sure everything runs smoothly, and most importantly, makes our guests feel welcome from the moment they walk in.

And when she’s not busy taking care of our guests, you can find her enjoying one of her favorites from our menu…

Back in 2019, Angelo, his son Antonio, and grandson Alessio shared more than just a pizza they shared laughter, love, and the family tradition that means everything to us.

Looks like our delivery team got a little... nutty today! 🐿️😂

Our friends Nutzy & Nutasha stopped by to help unload fresh, hot pizzas from the Roma catering van before delivering them to the Richmond Flying Squirrels players and coaches! ⚾🍕

We're proud to be the official catering partner for the Flying Squirrels home team, keeping the players fueled all season long with authentic Italian favorites.
