COSTA RICA PERLA NEGRA NATURAL from LAS LAJAS MICROMILL 🇨🇷

Oscar & Francisca Chacón are pioneers of Costa Rica’s micromill movement, experimenting with processing to push what Costa Rican coffee can taste like.
This Perla Negra is a slow dried Natural, meaning ripe cherries spend about a week on raised beds in the sun, then move into shade and finally a greenhouse, with twice-daily turning throughout. The result is a coffee with serious sweetness, fruit character, and layered complexity.

Slow drying. High density. Big flavor. Available now online and in cafes!

A little throwback to celebrate our Employees of the Quarter (or century) Amanda Zimmer and Daniel Gunter 🌟🥳☕️⚡️

Daniel has now been with Evans Brothers for over FIFTEEN YEARS! From roasting and quality to training, wholesale support, and mentorship, his knowledge, generosity, and steady leadership have helped build who we are today. “Daniel has always felt like a brother from another mother. He has been by our side continuously working to improve our business, for the good of our employees, our community, and our customers. Randy and I have taken countless trips with Daniel all over the world, and it’s been a true honor to call him a peer and a friend. I appreciate you from the bottom of my heart!”

Amanda joined the team 10 years ago as a barista and now wears more hats than we can count. Her positivity, problem solving skills, and unwavering leadership make everyone around her better. “One thing about Amanda is her consistency in bringing a can-do attitude. She is a steady force that makes everyone around her better. She’s not only a seasoned and experienced coffee pro, but also a talented manager and all-around leader.“

Some people shape a company, and Daniel and Amanda have done exactly that. Thank you both for a decade plus of passion and dedication, care for our team, our customers, and our community. 💙
