Doing my morning setup, getting kitchen ready for service for the last time here in Sanborn. The first time I did this was November 13th, 2020. I’m going to miss this place.

Mark your calendars, Tortuga Sanborn last day of service will be Saturday, August 15th. We are shooting for Kenmore opening day to be Tuesday, September 1. I also wanted to thank everyone for the great words of support we received after first making this announcement. Your support and encouragement have meant a great deal. Please also know that I have no ill will towards my landlord here in Sanborn. Raising the rent is something he needed to do to stay profitable and I totally understand his need to do so. Truthfully, I cannot run 2 locations right now and I have 3 years left on my Kenmore lease. The new Sanborn increase just made it an easier decision to me to make. Thank you for your understanding and we hope to see all of our Sanborn friends before we close.

Working on getting Kenmore up and running. Sanborn will be closed today but will be open the rest of the week.

It has been a great 6 years. Unfortunately, we are going to have to close down here in Sanborn. Our rent was just increased an additional $250 per month which is not affordable for us. I told the landlord that we will be out by the end of August. Our last service here in Sanborn will be sometime before then. Fortunately, we have been working on getting our dormant Kenmore location back up and running. We should be able to shut down Sanborn and open up Kenmore pretty seamlessly. I don’t have all the details yet but I will provide an update soon. I’m very sorry that we are leaving Sanborn. I live here and am blown away by the support the community here has given us. Once we do open, I hope some of you can make it out to visit us sometime. Thank you all!

This was off the menu for a while but it it back! The Choripan. Argentine chorizo, chimichurri, garlic aioli, fresh tomato salsa and pickled red onions all served on warm ciabatta. Come get one today!
