I found a delicious Sangiovese from Puglia that’s juicy and velvety with a perfect 12.5% alcohol—ideal for enjoying a few glasses without the heaviness. Cheers! 🍷😊

Yesterday, Wineaux Social Club came to pick up their wine and have a taste of the wine paired with a special menu.

The theme was mother’s day. Anna Jarvis, a Germanna descendant was the originator of creating this special day to honor her mother. https://germanna.org/2018/05/07/anna-jarvis-the-germanna-descendant-who-founded-mothers-day/.

We celebrated with two wines produced by woman owned wineries. Dr. Burkland Wolf Riesling named from the marriage of Burkland and Luise Wolf in 1847 with her dowry (vineyard). It is now operated by Bettina, a direct descendant.
The other wine came from Heidi Schrock & Sons - a blaufrankish from Austria produced by the owner and her two sons.

The food pairing was hunter schnitzel made with chicken, home made spaetzle with a side of rotkraut.
