Our featured artist for the month of September is our very own Noah Gutierrez Noah Gutierrez !

Noah is a ceramicist from Hollister CA who has just started his MFA at San Jose State. If you missed the reception on first Friday, you can find his incredible pieces throughout the cafe for the rest of September, and if you catch him behind the bar on the weekends you can ask him about them!

Great article by Wanda Guibert for the July issue of the about a high-wire act that took place at the Plaza Hotel in the early 20th century! The image happens to look very similar to our logo, designed by a little over 10 years ago! While the name Vertigo was inspired by the 1958 Alfred Hitchcock film, the logo further explores the sensation of motion or imbalance. We’ve interpreted this imagery and term more as the act of finding balance as it pertains to what we do. Since Vertigo opened its doors, we’ve been finding balance in many areas! In our approach to coffee roasting and blending, in operating a roasting company as well as a community cafe space, in crafting a well balanced espresso or cappuccino, or in creating a morning environment with coffee as well an evening environment with our food, b**r, and w**e program, just to name a few!
