Happy 1st Anniversary to Hapa’s Creekside! What started as a fresh idea to bring something laid-back and community-rooted to downtown San José has grown into one of the best spots in the city to just... be. After-work drinks, weekend hangs, food trucks, outdoor games, viewing parties, and good people, all set against The Buzz 🎨, a mural by Nicole Dixon (N. Dixon), Carmen Mcnall (Carmen Mcnall), Rayos Magos (rayos_magos), and Ian John (Ian Johnson), curated by@artist Charmin Roundtree (Charmin Roundtree).

Built by Hapa's Brewing Company, South Bay natives Derek Tam and Brian Edwards, Hapa’s has always been about blending cultures, flavors, and good vibes. One year at Creekside, and that energy hasn’t slowed down.

, opened in June 2025, is a great go-to spot for after-work drinks, weekend hangs, and easy nights out. Enjoy rotating taps, local food trucks, outdoor games, and a family friendly laid-back atmosphere in the heart of by the . 

Founded by South Bay natives Derek Tam and Brian Edwards, Hapa’s Brewing started as a homebrewing project in 2007 before opening their San José brewery () in 2017. The name “Hapas,” a Pacific Islander term often used to describe mixed heritage, reflects both the founders’ backgrounds and the blending process behind brewing b**r.
