Dear Friends of Treatbot,
It is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to Treatbot the Karaoke Ice Cream Truck, which has been serving up ice cream since its launch on April Fool's Day 2010. Today, we announce the End of the Road as we prepare to auction off the remaining equipment and supplies due to two devastating incidents of arson.
For over a decade, Treatbot has been an integral part of San Jose, achieving the title of the longest-running gourmet food truck in Silicon Valley. Our mission was simple: to bring Automatic Joy to everyone who crossed paths with us. And, as we reminisce over all the smiles, laughter, and memories we've shared, we take pride in knowing we achieved just that.
However, recent events have forced us to face the harsh reality that our journey must come to an end. The devastating back to back arson incidents that resulted in the loss of both our cherished truck and O'Brien's Tea Shop at History Park has made it impossible for us to continue. We tried to make it Through the Fire, but it soon became clear the best decision would be acceptance and submission.
We want to extend our deepest thanks to our loyal customers, staff, friends, and supporters who have been with us from the beginning, and those who have joined along the way. Your enthusiasm for our unique combination of ice cream and karaoke made Treatbot more than just a food truck – it was a symbol of our City.
As we close this chapter, we look to the future with hope and determination. We are excited to announce that Chef Christine Sebastian will soon embark on a new culinary adventure. Stay tuned for updates on her upcoming endeavors.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the love, the music, and the memories. Treatbot may be gone, but the joy it brought will be Forever Young.
