Happy New Year Folks!
Come January, a lot of us become more interested in our health. Even if we are not joining the bandwagon of all those folks newly signing up at a gym, making small sustainable changes to our lifestyle is certainly a good idea, January or whenever! Here are some of the things I personally follow and would love to share:
1. Focus on protein! It is the nutrient for longevity. Ensure that you add some proteins in each meal - eggs, paneer, lentils, sprouts, legumes, etc are good options for vegetarians.
2. Add fiber in the form of veggies. Eat a variety of them to get all your micronutrients.
3. Keep carbs low. Most of us eat very carb-heavy and it doesn’t really fit our sedentary lifestyles. A variety here also helps - rice, millets, quinoa or a combo.
4. Include a probiotic at each meal. Finishing a meal with curd rice or just a small cup of curd adds good probiotics and a dash of protein.
5. Avoid industrial seed oils as much as possible and stick to good fats for cooking.
The best case scenario is always a fresh homemade meal. However, if you are pressed for time, please feel free to pre-order our meal packs. With 4-6 items to mix and match, they will easily serve you for 2-3 meals for a family. All you have to do is make the carb 💁♀️
