It is with humble gratitude and a heavy heart that we announce the closing of our Kagawa-ya Udon concept. This has been one of the most difficult and emotional decisions we've had to make and we are so sad to say goodbye, after nearly 7 years in this neighborhood serving udon
to over 250,000 customers to date. -.
📣Our final day of service will be next
Friday December 22nd, 2023 from 11-2pm. -.
The dining landscape has changed so much since 2020 and our fast casual udon concept no longer thrives in this space. Sean and I will be taking some time off to re-conceptualize and hopefully come back stronger than ever! -.
We would like to thank our staff, whom have become family, for being such an integral part of our business and for helping us provide so many wonderful dining experiences to countless guests over the years. -.
Of course, we give immeasurable thanks to everyone who has dined with us, (especially some of our loyal regulars who still visit at least once a week, rain or shine from when we first opened in 2017 to now), whether it may be in house, take-out, through delivery apps, office catering or purchasing our udon meal kits!
We are grateful for the continued support even during the most trying of times. -.
This neighborhood received our small business so warmly, and we're definitely going to miss all of our daily interactions. We even managed to build some friendships along the way! Kagawa-ya gave us all a place to feel at home. However, as much as we love the restaurant and seeing you walk through our doors, this very difficult decision had to be made. But what an incredible journey it has been!

We want to embrace the idea that all good things come to an end and it only paves the way for bigger and better things!

Our Last Day of Breakfast Service will be this Friday 10/13th from 9-10:45am!

As many of you know, we started offering an entirely different breakfast concept at the beginning of June this year, and unfortunately, we weren't able to gain enough traction with the earlier hours so we have made the difficult decision to discontinue our breakfast with the last day of service for this concept to be

Friday October 13th. For those of you that haven't had a chance to try our delicious Loco Moco, Spam & Egg Sando & Banana Foster Macadamia Waffle, be sure to come by before the end of the week for your Island fix!

Moving forward, our Lunch hours will remain the same! (Weekdays 11:00-2:00pm)

For those of you not working in the area anymore, we have partnered up with Explore Neon to deliver our Fresh Udon Meal Kits throughout the entire Bay Area! That's another way to support us and have tasty Udon at your fingertips whenever the craving hits! The kits can also be stored in the freezer to extend it's shelf life! We’re closed today Monday October 9th but will be back open at 9am Tuesday for Island style breakfast and lunch from 11-2pm
Also, our last day of breakfast service will be Friday 10/13th. We will only be serving lunch during the weekdays 11-2pm for the remainder of the year. We are really bummed out that our breakfast concept didn’t gain enough traction in the mornings despite having it since July. 😢, but wanted to thank everyone who did come out and try our breakfast items and gave us rave reviews! It’s no easy feat navigating the current landscape we’re in, but still we feel extremely grateful for our solid lunch business which keeps us going! 💪🏼🙏🏼
