We are deeply honored to receive this commendation from the Board of Supervisors. Thank you Supervisor Mandelman and Supervisor Chen for your recognition of our journey and the community we’ve built through Le Soleil.

During the ceremony, one line from Supervisor Chen’s speech stayed with us: immigrant stories are not small stories — they help shape the legacy of San Francisco. As a family-run restaurant that has served generations of families since 1993, those words hit home for us in a powerful way. Our parents came to this country with resilience, determination, and a love for sharing food and culture with others. Over the last 30+ years, Le Soleil became more than a restaurant — it became a place where stories, traditions, and community come together around the dinner table.

We share this recognition with every guest, friend, team member, and family who has supported us through the years. Thank you for allowing our family story to become part of San Francisco history. ❤️

This AAPI Heritage Month, we’re feeling especially grateful to be part of such a vibrant, resilient, and deeply rooted community ❤️

At Le Soleil, food has always been about more than just a meal. It’s about heritage, family, storytelling, and bringing people together across generations.

We’re incredibly thankful for events like Plate by Plate for allowing us to celebrate and uplift AAPI communities, and remind us how powerful it is when culture, community, and purpose come together in one space.

We are proud of our roots, proud of our culture, and proud to share our table with this community.
