As many of you know, we closed our beloved Gitane due to our lease not being renewed. Though we proudly celebrate the past 11 years of Gitane, we also look forward to the opening of Bar Gitane which will be making its grand opening later in 2018 next to Galleria Park Hotel downtown on Kearny/Sutter. Stay tuned!

As you may have heard, we are closing our doors after this Saturday night's service, February 17th. It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that our landlord has decided not to extend our lease, forcing us to close our beloved Gitane...
What’s next? We have received confirmation from the owners of the Galleria Park Hotel - a Joie de Vivre Hotel giving us the opportunity to bring a new version of the Gitane to a section of the space within the building that was formally occupied by DB Shoes. Bar Gitane, a drinks focused concept, will make its debut in September of 2018...
In addition to our full menu, we will also be offering a Valentine’s Month Inspired Prix Fixe ($40 per person with optional $20 wine pairings). We have made the menu very affordable to welcome our loyal guests and new guests as well...
We also have exciting plans for our other restaurants—the beloved Cafe Claude and the financial district favorite – Gaspar Brasserie..

Thank you for your continuous support during the last 10 years. Our last supper will be served on Saturday, February 17th. We will be offering a Valentine’s Inspired Prix Fixe menu ($40 per person with optional $20 wine pairings) in addition to our regular menu.
