The San Francisco Bike Kitchen A non-profit Community Bike Workshop where YOU fix your bike! Sat 9am-12pm The Bike Kitchen teaches people of all ages and backgrounds how to repair bicycles.

WTFNB Night Monday 6:30pm-9pm (Women/Trans/Femme/Non Binary only) Tue/Wed 6pm-9pm. The Bike Kitchen promotes personal development and provides leadership opportunities. Operating as a cooperative shop, we provide affordable ways to acquire and maintain a bike, encourage re-use and recycling, and work with community groups to get more people on bicycles.

Please Be Respectful Of Our Workshop. Had to have a car removed; it was parked in front of our bay doors since 2am Saturday morning. We open at 9am. By 10:30 am it was still there, greatly affecting our ability to fully open the shop. Hard lesson to learn; even when signs are posted not to park there. When they finally showed up they just nonchalantly said, We thought you opened at 12. Informed them the vehicle was towed. No apologies for affecting our operations and simplify walked off with an attitude.

Problem Solving 101. Brifters not shifting into high gear on 10 spd side. What do we do? Take it apart and do a cycle in the ultrasonic cleaner. End result; broken component. The rest is good for parts. Levers, hood, everything else in acceptable condition. A little OCD? Maybe just a tad.

Diamondback roadbike. Used for educational purposes. Was broken down by middle school students for bicycle maintenance training. Put back mostly by a volunteer and finished by me.
