These kids are coming for our job.

Shout out for letting us teach kids about coffee and local manufacturing. Each kid got to label their own bag, use our bagger to fill the bag with freshly roasted coffee, and watch it go through the bag sealer. They then got to bring home their personal coffee for their adults to enjoy.

And yes, they got hot cocoas after. 😉

Sometimes we like to do a little something special at different locations. This month, we’ve teamed up with our friends at BraunHagey & Borden in the office upstairs at 747 Front Street to do a delicious fundraiser for SF Marin Food Bank.

Our bakery and beverage teams teamed up to create the ultimate spring sip: a house-made mango syrup that brightens up every cup. After plenty of taste-testing (the fun kind of R+D), we landed on two new favorites: the Mango Snowy Plover and Iced Mango Matcha.

We’re thrilled to feature a special double release from producer Mustefa Abakeno of Ethiopia’s Limu region—showcasing how processing can transform the same coffee into two wildly distinct cups.

Our washed process highlights stone fruit acidity, jammy body, caramel, and marmalade sweetness. Meanwhile, the natural process leans delicate and elegant, with strawberry, plum, hibiscus, and tea-like florals.

Happy St Patrick’s Day from us at Andytown.

We wanted to share a little slice of Ireland with you today. From soda farls on the Aga, to Guinness with Michael’s da, to a few gorgeous shots of the countryside.

Ireland is a beautiful county with a deep history. Every day we make our soda farls and wheaten bread, we are proud to continue the legacy of food and hospitality that shaped Michael’s childhood in Belfast and Shannon.

It’s a tradition at Andytown to use our birthday to raise money and awareness for a cause near to our hearts. This year, we’re donating a portion of every birthday beverage sold to to support their work assisting LGBTQ immigrants navigate pathways to citizenship.

A number of our cafe locations will be closed on Friday, 1/30/26, so our team members can participate in the National General Strike. Our cafes at 3629 Taraval, 3016 Taraval (Roastery), 800 Great Highway, Menlo Park, and our locations inside of Canyon Market and Guss Market on Harrison will be closed.

In the spirit of community support and solidarity, our cafe at 3655 Lawton Street in the Outer Sunset and our downtown locations at 747 Front and 181 Fremont will be open until 12PM to serve our neighbors.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to serving you during our regular business hours again on Saturday, 1/31/26.

As a reminder, Andytown is immigrant-founded, we support our team’s first amendment rights, and we only like ice when it is in our Snowy Plovers.

Hopping on the 2016 throwback trend!

In 2016, we secured an SBA loan to open our cafe and Roastery on Taraval. Our original cafe on Lawton turned 2, and we were still hand-stamping every paper cup.

In 2016, our coffee bags were letterpressed by and we used to cut all of our labels two doors down at . (This was before we had to update our packaging to be heat-sealable for big grocery stores.)

While a lot has changed, a lot has stayed the same. We still bake out of Lawton (after a remodel when we took over the space next door). We still roast on that Loring roaster (the roastery is a little bit more full than in that photo!) We still serve coffee on Outer Taraval (we just secured another 10 years on our lease!) And that little dude is in fourth grade now, but he still comes to work with mom and dad (now with his little sister).

An easy-drinking, beautifully balanced coffee from Piendamó, Cauca with notes of orange peel, panela, and semi-sweet chocolate.

One last data post for 2025!

You save $0.50 per drink when you bring your own reusable cups to Andytown. In 2025, this program diverted over 30,000 disposable cups from compost. While this number may seem like a lot, it’s only about 9-10 cups per day per Andytown cafe.

Make it your New Year’s resolution to bring your own reusable cups. It saves you some money, and helps us reduce our impact on the environment.
