It's the new year, and that means it's time for Galette des Rois (https://maisondanel.square.site/product/galette-des-rois/356) , the traditional French puff pastry cake filled with almond frangipane cream to celebrate Epiphany! More details below . . .

In addition, our elegant Salon de Thé is all decked out for the season for a couple more weeks. Make a reservation for our signature Afternoon Tea service or join us for a festive Brunch next to our beautiful Sapin de Noël 🎄🫖

Galette des Rois

Galette des Rois (https://maisondanel.square.site/product/galette-des-rois/356) is a traditional French puff pastry cake filled with almond frangipane cream to celebrate Epiphany and the arrival of the Three Kings. The galette, a mainstay for gatherings in France throughout January, is baked with a mini porcelain figurine hidden inside. The person who gets the figurine, called a fève, gets to be king or queen for the day!

Fèves are a collectable in France, and this year, all the fèves in our galettes are from Chef Danel's family collection! And just like in France, the Maison Danel Galette des Rois comes in a special paper bag with a gold paper crown 👑

The cake is approximately 9" and serves 6 to 8 people, and is available throughout January. Order (https://maisondanel.square.site/product/galette-des-rois/356) at least 1 day in advance for Pickup or Delivery. We will also have limited quantities available in the boutique

To celebrate the New Year with some bubbly, pair the Galette with a bottle Maison Danel Crémant d'Alsace (https://maisondanel.square.site/product/galette-des-rois-with-cremant/357) ! Crémant is a sparkling French wine made using the same technique as Champagne, but from a different region of France. Fresh, fine, and bright, ours comes from Alsace and was created specifically to pair with Maison Danel pastries
