Have you ever tried a tea cake?

Our Puerh tea cakes have an exotic "earthy" flavor and has long been a traditional favorite in southern China, as well as other parts of Asia. It has widely acclaimed health benefits and is a large reason why there's a growing demand for these teas!

Imperial Tea Court has a wide collection of authentic Puerh teas (loose leaf and cakes) from China's Yunnan Province.

Brewing instructions:
1️⃣ Break off a small piece and gently crumble it into a teapot or Gaiwan.
2️⃣ Quickly rinse the leaves with moderately hot water.
3️⃣ Infuse in approximately 175-degree water for 1-3 minutes, then decant into a pitcher.
4️⃣ Serve and enjoy!

Note: Puerh teas, in general, are rather strong in nature but that doesn’t mean you always need boiling water to brew a great cup. Steeping time is always subject to how much tea you use and how much intensity you want in your tea. For higher intensity, use near boiling or boiling water with slightly shorter steeping time. Increase intensity further by using more tea. To taste more of the subtle flavors and floral and fruity notes, use lower temperature water for longer steepings

Did you know all teas, except herbal teas, originate from the same plant: the camellia sinensis? 🌱

While varietals matter, much of the magic lies in their processing... from leaf selection to oxidation levels. For example, black tea leaves undergo oxidation while green tea leaves do not. To make black tea, the leaves are first allowed to fully oxidize and then rolled. This reaction causes the leaves to turn dark brown and allows the flavors to heighten and intensify resulting in a darker hue and richer flavor. Green tea leaves, on the other hand, are immediately heated to maintain their green, grassy taste 🍵✨

Instead of roses, give the gift of our blossoming tea for Valentine's Day! 🪷 These hand-tied artisan teas slowly bloom when steeped in hot water.

Reminiscent of a flower, our blossoming teas are made by skillfully binding high-quality green tea leaves and edible flowers into a compact bulb. When steeped in hot water, it unfurls and expands, resembling a blooming flower.

These teas offer a beautiful and fun experience! Great for entertaining your guests and a delightful twist on fresh flowers 🫖

Brewing & steeping instructions:
1️⃣ We recommend brewing this tea in one of our glass teapots so that you can watch the flower slowly open.
2️⃣ Use one Flower of Prosperity per 16 oz of water, infuse with near boiling water and watch it bloom!
