All the craftsmanship behind a dish goes through many hands from the one chopping up the onions, or roasting the spices, sauteing, a whole team of people behind the scenes like picking up the vegetables, the drivers of the distributors, the farmers and so many hidden parts invisible to a diner, as much as we'd love to take all the credit for the new dishes on the menu here's a huge GRACIAS for all the hands and the team that make one dish at a time possible. Being a mother is one of the most complex and beautiful roles in the world. This year has tested me in ways I never expected, from the constant midnight ER visits for asthma attacks (thankfully better now) to the daily sacrifices.

Iโ€™ve learned that a motherโ€™s love is limitless. We aren't perfect, no love is perfect and we all make mistakes, but we learn, we educate, and we keep growing for them. Forgiveness is important, forgiving yourself and trying to be gentle with oneself so that we can be the best version for ourselves and for them. My son is the greatest gift Iโ€™ve ever received, and the best thing to ever happen to me. Happy Mother's Day to all the resilient women doing the work, you are not alone and you are seen. Valentine's French Toast with Mango Lassi, Cardamom, Rose Coconut Whipped Cream, Pistachio...a soft kiss from ingredients on a plate to your taste buds! Today we had a brunch pop up like the old school sit down brunch/dinners events we used to do prior to the restaurant. These types of sit down events are very special and dear to my heart, as each ingredient on the menu is very thought through for the occasion and a lot of care and love is poured into each dish. Also, it is incredible the amount of new friendships that blossom in these gatherings ๐Ÿ˜‰. This event sold out with one story and didn't leave room for posting but will plan to give a heads up for the next one.

Our food is our art expression and during these moments of uncertainty and chaos, it creates a space to share something beautiful, healing, organic and soul fulfilling. It's like a Mexican croissant filled with a vanilla custard and cinnamon pumpkin puree in a hot crispy pastry served with a scoop of chocolate, ice cream and more chocolate sauce, as much as I love pumpkin, I'm getting the pressure that pumpkin is out and a new seasonal fruit has to roll in...what do you think?
