Many folks have been asking how they can support us at Matching Half while we operate at a limited capacity and we are so humbled by the outpouring of love we have received. In response, we have created a fundraiser for our employees: http://fundly.com/support-our-amazing-employees

Our employees are the most important part of our business. And while our priority is the health and safety of our staff and community, it is nonetheless heartbreaking to cut shifts and services knowing the hardship this creates for those whose livelihoods depend on our establishment bustling and chugging along at full steam.

Matching Half is raising donations to support our staff while we pare down our operations in order to do our part to protect our community and to comply with the guidelines put in place by the city of San Francisco. If you feel like sharing some love, please don't hesitate to make a small contribution to help your favorite baristas while we wait for business and staffing to return to normal. Hey! You want stuffed fish?!? Ha! Yeah right, we don't have that. C'mon, that's just for the make believe kitchen, and you're definitely not getting invited to the make believe kitchen. BUT, we are gonna have a pop up dinner FRIDAY 3/2 and you ARE invited to Come join us at that!!! Ol' Chef Phil (5P's) Pappas is cooking up a Mediterranean Affair and it's gonna be spot on. Think Chicken Souvlaki, Falafel, Humus, Baba ganoush, Pita, Greek salad, Baklava and Beer, copious Beer! And wine, obviously, The Sweet nectar of Olympus! Our pals will be hosting a crafty little party as always, with wood burning, collage art and beer! So yeah, come on out and celebrate First Friday on McAllister & Baker with your neighbors and friends! Get fed, get buzzed and get crafty! Gonna be a rolling good time!

Have you ever been waiting in an unreasonably long line at Matching Half and wondered "What on Earth could possibly be taking so freaking long?!?" Well now the answer is finally here. THIS, This is what you've been waiting for. 8 long years. Yep. That's right, we're 8, that's great, now drink some bubbles and cake. And shut yer cake hole. Oh, and thank you to all the people who supported us along the way. I mean, someone's gotta wait in that line, right? might as well be you. Did we mention free cake and bubbles? 😘☕️🍺🍷🥂🎂☀️

Countdown to Matching Half's Birthday is now at 3 DAYS!!! That's right, on Tuesday 10/24 we will be 8!!! Isn't that great?!? To celebrate we're gonna have cake 🎂 and champagne 🥂 for all our friends who stop by. What could be better than bubbles and sugar before work (for those of you who actually have "jobs" if that's still a thing). We promise not to tell your boss 😉unless you are the boss, in which case, good for you, you win some champagne. Fine, But what does this all have to do with all those scribbles up 🔝there you might ask? Easy, that's the first sketch of our equipment layout from way back when. It's actually still pretty true today, if you take a long look 👀 Stay tuned for more blasts from the past...
