What is warmer than to be with her and eat the food she has just cooked for you? My mother always told me "finis ton assiette" because it was proof to her that I loved what she cooked for me. Chez Maman is inspired by this kind of childhood memory. We have tried to recreate that atmosphere with a menu composed of French basics. Tasty items like a hamburger with guacamole or French brie with a good

glass of wine - a welcoming and tasty French meal. Chez Maman is a neighborhood restaurant with a bistro concept. We attribute our success to the friendly and casual atmosphere as well as our delicious home cooked meals. The ambiance is French inspired naturally, with the warm colors of the French countryside. What could be more relaxing? Our goal is to satisfy patrons at any time of day or evening from a casual salad or burger for lunch, a mid-afternoon sweet crepe to a three course meal with a great bottle of French wine when you just don't feel like cooking. Of course, if you want to enjoy your Chez Maman meal at home with your feet up, we will gladly make it for you to go. The menu is the same in all of our Chez Maman restaurants. The first one opened on Potrero Hill in 2002. The neighbors all soon became regulars, coming in two or three times a week to share a comfortable meal with their friends and family. We have recently opened a location in Bernal Heights and will soon have one conveniently located on Union Street. We look forward to seeing you at one of our Chez Maman located near you. The Thai style mussels paired with a side of bread to dip was just... chef's kiss 🥰

We skipped the long brunch lines after seeing your 4.8 star Yelp rating for your Potrero Hill location, and we are so glad we did. You had us craving for your veal at 11am, but we were already stuffed with our appetizers 😅.

Menu: Les Moules Thai / $24
Lemongrass, garlic, shallots, cilantro, chili and coconut milk

I'd skip the fries pairing and go straight for their $2 bread. Excellent vessel to soak up all of the coconut milk broth for consumption

You guys know i love a good french cuisine once in awhile and this little spot in the corner was a delightful experience 🤭. I love moules and once i saw an extensive selection for it i knew i had to get them. Their mussels were sweet and the sauce was a perfect complement to the mussels 🤤. I keep wanting to go back to sf for this dish 🥹 the fries were perfectly cooked as well, the perfect bite of crunch and softness 🤤. I give this dish 10/10!!!
