What’s the FIRED PIG you ask? It’s a fire roasted pork belly over our tiki sauc, zesty cabbage herb salad & chili crunch.

Pork confit (fancy eh?) served over chipotle smoked mole, hominy grits, salsa verde & slaw.

This dish is a highlight of teamwork. Usually an idea is sparked and shared amongst the staff. Inspired by others, travel or even a family member - we add to our inspo board and stay creating. You’ve heard me say it before, creating a dish can be a lot like playing in a band writing songs where everyone riffs off one another.

This idea came to DC inspired by a dish in Mexico and the one time he put too many cloves in his mole which tasted like clove ci******es. The team assembled and took it to the next level. Anthony got the mole just right, Smokey not TOO spicy with great texture and aromatics. Rob went all in on the salsa verde when Daniel asked for more green zach made it happen with Rob. Lex and Zach put in over time finding the perfect style, cut and flavor profile for the protein. It’s really a team effort.

So much of what we do at FIRED is about pushing ourselves and the menu outside of what is comfortable, outside of what you can find anywhere else, outside of the conglomerate food service box. We hope you do the same when ordering dinner. Life is too short to eat boring food.

THE GOOD BURGER IS BACK!!!

And I know what you're thinking... "illegal".... but here me out: this is not a Neapolitan pizza. It's its own thing and it's not playing by anyone's rules.

There's a lot of debate on this pizza, specifically between me and Daniel. He says he came up with this one but I'm here to take all the creative credit. If you know me, you know I love cheeseburgers more than life itself, and this one is a nod to my days at Bjs Brewhouse, back on the OG menu when they did their deep dish cheeseburger pie. I couldn't get enough of that one. But they fired me for giving out free drinks and they took this gem off the menu. Nothing good lasts forever right?

But this pizza is back and right on time. If you haven't tried this, get out of your pizza comfort zone and try something weird. You'll be craving this one for years to come.

MAY MENU IS HERE!

Some classic bangers are back on for pies this month. Yours truly has been making OG elote pies for a few years now and the absolute MOST controversial “GOOD Burger” pie has its fair share of lovers and haters. Boi, I tell you what.. this month will for sure be a fun one.

Big ups to the staff collectively making the Pork MOH-leh come to fruition, it started as a vision and came together with every single member of the kitchen staff. Stoked for you to try!

It’s Sarah’s birthday month so have a good burger to celebrate her or just bring her a cheeseburger she will forever love you for that.

OFF MENU WEEK HERE WE COME ❤️

It’s been a wild few weeks at FIRED PIZZA. All good things of course! Thank you to everyone who dined with us over the month of April we love and appreciate all of you. May menu drops this next week so keep an eye out. Until then we will be rocking our main menu this week with re introductions to a few overlooked pies. I highly recommend this one, it’s the reserve three wise (and honesty 10x better)

DIAVOLA - red, mozz, sopressata, fresh basil, ricotta florets & fresh grated parm.

MEET ANTHONY

Anthony has been with FIRED for two years. He came to us with a passion and drive that matches everything FIRED has stood for. Anthony is our jack of all trades - even the house electrician or plumber if needed. You can find him bangin’ out pies on a Saturday night or plating your favorite dishes every other day. Next month Anthony will have a collaborative featured dish with Lex and Daniel which should be a crowd pleaser.

PS - Anthony holds the record for most views on a single FIRED pizza tik tok with over half a million views LOL

MEET LEX

Lex has been with FIRED for about two years now. She came to us in our time of need. We needed somebody to help us create, learn and innovate our kitchen - Lex came in and did exactly that. She came as a recommendation from our friend another legend in the local restaurant scene (and old neighbor iykyk) . You can usually find Lex on expo calling out dishes making sure everything is going to plan, she’s also the one who collabs on some of main dishes with Daniel. Some of her highlights are but not limited to: Tiki Pork Belly, Schnitzel, Costini De Manzo, Porchetta, Milanese. Lex please comment any you feel I may have missed 😂

SOMETHING LIKE SORRENTO

Because this pizza is about as close as you can get to the Almalfi Coast without having that pesky 12 hour flight in the way of finding paradise. Come try for yourself.

Funny thing about the Italian pizza making friends is they will complain about pineapple on a pizza but then make a blue dough and slap some lemons or peaches on a pizza and be totally fine with it 😂
