Did you know that ramune ラムネ came from the word for lemonade 🍋 レモネード? In 1884, Alexander Cameron Sim (founder of the Kobe Regatta and Athletic Club, Japan’s oldest sports club) introduced ramune to The Kobe foreign settlement 神戸外国人居留地. Ramune is one of THE symbols of Japanese summers and is widely consumed at festivals. With summer fast approaching and temperatures rising, how about an ice, cold ramune to quench your thirst. At our San Francisco and Berkeley shops, we are carrying two new flavors for you to try - strawberry and mango. Stop in and pop a marble!

We have two promotions in two days. Tuesday, June 3rd is National Egg Day, and Wednesday, June 4th is National Cheese Day. Yuuupppp, you heard that right! Order any curry and claim your free egg or free cheese topping! Eggs are available only in SF, not in Berkeley. Cheese is available at both SF & Berkeley! Come on down!!

Congratulations to recent graduates!!

Although we are feeling some pain from across-the-board price increases especially on imported products from Japan, we know that others are feeling the pinch, too.

So, for the next two Thursdays - May 29 & June 5, we are offering all you can eat curry for lunch. Come in between 11am-2pm, drop 12 bucks and eat as much Japanese curry, rice, mixed vegetables, and pickles as you want and share a side with a friend.

Hi everyone, we had quite a few customers complain that it wasn’t convenient for them to come all the way out to the Marina district for their lunch break and make it back to work, so we decided to run the $15 deal for weeknight diners, too!! Nippon Curry has opened a satellite shop in the San Jose Downtown Food Hall at 82 E Santa Clara. Please tell your friends that they can order pickup or delivery via 3rd party delivery platforms, or dine inside the food hall. We are just a few blocks away from the university. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Everyone, I just returned back to SF spending Christmas and Oshogatsu in Japan. While there, I picked up a case of Classic Habanero sauce and a case of the NEW Yuzu Habanero sauce from Habanebros! Same habanero kick with a dash of that citrusy yuzu which tastes SOOO yummy! Pick some up now before we sell out!!
