Ever wonder what makes a peaberry different?
Most coffee cherries produce two flat-sided seeds. Occasionally, a cherry produces just one round seed instead — a peaberry. Because it forms alone, it gets all the nutrients the cherry would normally split between two, resulting in a denser, more concentrated bean.
That density shows up in the cup: our Kenya Peaberry is bold and bright, with blackcurrant and stone fruit notes up front and a lingering acidity that sets it apart from a standard Kenya lot.
