The State Bar of California will hold a Town Hall Meeting at the SDCBA Conference Center tomorrow, August 20, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Representatives from the State Bar’s Task Force on Access Through Innovation of Legal Services will be travelling to San Diego to “discuss possible regulatory changes to remove barriers in order to promote innovation in the delivery of legal services by lawyers and others.” These changes could be among the most sweeping ever made to the practice of law, and we have heard that other states are watching what California may do. The discussion will be facilitated by the SDCBA.

The Fifth Annual International Animal Law Summit is this Thursday, August 22 and Friday, August 23. This legal education and networking event will connect animal law practitioners from across the globe to discuss topics specific to California and the San Diego legal community.
