All good things must come to an end. With very heavy hearts we must announce that our final day of business here at Ebisu will be May 16th. 16.5 years is a damn great run, and we are proud of and extremely grateful for the time we’ve had, the special place we built, and especially the bonds we’ve made with all the amazing people who built it alongside us.
Thank you to the countless number of people who have helped to build Ebisu over the years. Our employees, past and present (who became like family to us) definitely made working that much more easy, enjoyable, and often downright fun. Our vendors and suppliers, who knew that our dedication to quality was always a priority, and always made sure we had the best. And of course, without question, our friends and customers who ultimately made it possible for us to make a living and raise two children in this beautiful paradise of a city.
So many great memories were made within these walls of our little mom and pop sushi shop. We will have epic stories to tell and cherish for a lifetime. We are humbled by and appreciate all of you who have shown up over the years, for your boundless support and love. Thank you for letting us feed you, host your celebrations, and pour your drinks. Thank you for the laughs, hugs, history, and friendship.
We are grateful for this wonderful community, the friends we’ve made here, and all these years we’ve called it home. It’s a very special place that we will miss being part of.
This is not how we wanted to say goodbye and lay her to rest. We wanted to have parties, enjoy a feast or ten, share drinks, cheers, hugs and tears. It is the end of a beautiful era. We shall look forward to what new chapters will be written. We will be continuing operations at our second restaurant, Shank & Bone, and hope to connect with you there. Ebisu and all that it encompasses will always be etched into our life story and woven into our hearts. Our family thanks you for these 16 incredible years.
