The next generation. Melissa introduced us to her son, Edward, who dresses as Catrín, a male version of a Catrina, and they won first place in the group costume category in the Old Town competition last year! 🕺A devoted and creative artist himself, he shared with us his design that honors his grandmother.

Keep an eye out for this pair during the 2026 competition TOMORROW at 2 p.m. in Plaza de Las Armas! They’re bringing something new and equally stunning—a tribute to Melissa’s older sister. 💜
