Dear World Curry Friends and Family,
We have some bittersweet news to share. After much consideration, we’ve made the extremely difficult decision to close World Curry at the end of this year, concluding an incredible journey of nearly 30 years. The time has come for us to wrap up this chapter of our lives. Starting September 16th, we will no longer be open for lunch, and our hours will change to 4 PM - 9 PM as we enter this final stretch. We will continue to be closed on Tuesdays. We’ll keep you updated once we have a confirmed final date and additional details.
World Curry is truly a story of love. My parents met in Japan and shared a deep passion for food from all cultures. In 1995, they turned that passion into reality by opening this restaurant and introducing the flavors of global curries to Pacific Beach. My father poured his heart and soul into this place for 27 years, and after his passing in 2022, my mother and I took the reins to keep their dream alive. It’s been an incredible journey, and we’ve cherished every moment of sharing our food and stories with you.
To our deeply valued customers: from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. World Curry was built on love and loyalty, and you have always made us feel like a beloved part of this community. Whether you’ve been with us for years or just discovered us recently, your support, stories, and empty plates have made this journey so rewarding. We will miss you more than words can express.
And to every single one of our employees, past and present: none of this would have been possible without your dedication, love, and hard work. You are the heart of our operation.
