After a year of searching for the perfect location, we found our space in a historic building, built in 1934, on Adams Ave. But changing the name of an old establishment, in an even older building, didn’t feel right. Yes, An’s Dry Cleaning is a nod to the previous establishment, but also a reminder that some things are better left unchanged. Our chef, with over 16 years of gelato making experience

in Europe, makes gelato from scratch, not out of a bag. Whether honing a traditional flavor or creating a brand new recipe, he combines quality ingredients with uncompromising processes to craft wonderfully fresh and well-balanced gelato. Simply put, we think you’re going to love our gelato and we can’t wait to share it with you.

NEW MENU AT DRY CLEANING

Butterscotch | Date Sponge Cake | Pecan

Inspired by sticky toffee pudding popular in the United Kingdom, this gelato combines a homemade butterscotch from brown sugar, butter, vanilla, and cream with a date sponge cake made with Medjool dates, molasses, vanilla, and chopped pecans all mixed into a vanilla and molasses gelato base.

Canvas

Olive Oil | Rosemary

Canvas is one of our most requested flavors of all time. If we were going to submit one flavor into a gelato competition, this would be it. This popular gelato starts by infusing milk with rosemary before combining it with olive oil. The result is an extremely creamy and smooth gelato.

Foulard

Coconut Cream Cheese | Passionfruit | Pineapple | Graham Crackers

A flavor that takes you on a journey to a tropical island. This one is “jam” packed with tart and fruity flavors. The coconut cream cheese base is blended in with homemade gluten free graham crackers and then a tropical jam is folded in.

Tubaw

Ube | Saigon Coffee Whipped Cream

We make an ube gelato with over 8lbs of ube per batch. Then we combine heavy cream, powdered sugar, salt, vanilla, and Saigon Coffee’s famous Vietnamese coffee together to create the best whipped cream you’ve ever tasted.

Docker Cap

Cardamom | White Chocolate | Chocolate Coffee Cookies

We steep cardamom pods and combine them with white chocolate to make a sweet gelato base then we mix in our house made chocolate coffee cookies.

To celebrate An’s being voted one of the best gelato shops in America four years in a row, and to say thank you for all the votes, we’re giving away gelato on Wednesday, July 1! $0 smalls and $0 cones (cone supplies limited) from 11am to 3pm at all shops.

All shops will close at 3pm so we can take our team out to celebrate!

MA•YVR x An’s | Sat, Jun 20, 1-3p | Del Mar Plaza Roof Deck

Our friends at MA•YVR have developed four new, layered craft gelato mocktails that you don’t want to miss. They’re popping up with us on the roof deck of the Del Mar Plaza. Each option incorporates a different An’s gelato into a layered, tea based drink that uses high quality ingredients, like matcha from Paru Tea. Drinks are $10 each.

There are four options to choose from, each one named after a different hat making tool. Each layer of the drink has its own distinctive flavor profiles. Taste your way through the layers, then mix together for the final experience.

This first one is:

⚫️𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐦 𝐂𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫
Black Sesame | Oat Milk | Matcha | Gomazuri

This drink starts with a layer of custom brewed black sesame syrup and a layer of fluffy sweetened oat milk. Smoothly whisked matcha forms the next layer topped with Gomazuri, An’s gelato offering a best of both worlds, from the earthiness of the matcha to the sweetness of the black sesame. Then topped with crunchy, lightly toasted black sesame seeds and Hawaiian black salt for balance.

Magnolia Green Tea | Straw Hat | Mango Sweet Cream | Mango | Dark Chocolate | Florals

A perfumey Magnolia green tea grown in Fuzhou (Fujian Province, China) creates the freshly brewed tea base. Layered with An’s Straw Hat (mango + passion fruit sorbet) and mango sweet cream. Finally, topped with imported & highly aromatic fresh diced mangoes, Boulder ‘Mango Dark chocolate’ bits, and seasonal local farm florals.

🟢𝐏𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫
Lychee Black Tea | Olive Oil | Matcha | Canvas

An aromatic freshly brewed lychee black tea grown in Wuyishan (Fujan Province, China) with layers of Canvas (olive oil + rosemary) gelato and a creamy, olive oil infused matcha from PARU® . Finally, topped with local farm seasonal blossoms, local rosemary olive oil, and Hawaiian black salt.

UBE LAST CALL!

Most flavors will be sold out by Saturday/Sunday. Don’t wait!

Our ube series is made with real ube, producing gelato that is light in color with subtle vanilla/nutty flavor.

Tubaw - (all shops) ube gelato base made with 8lbs of ube per batch. We combine heavy cream, powdered sugar, salt, vanilla paste, and Saigon Coffee Vietnamese coffee to make a whipped cream that gets swirled into the ube gelato.

T’nalak - (NP & OB) ube gelato base with 8lbs of ube per batch. We make honeycomb toffee from scratch, in-house and coat it in chocolate. That is mixed into the ube base.

Jusi - (NP) Ube gelato base made with 8lbs of ube per batch. We also make our black sesame swirl in house. We toast black sesame powder on the stove, combining that with coconut oil and sugar in the food processor until fluid and smooth. We then combine that with melted cocoa butter, vanilla, salt, and more sugar. This gets swirled into the gelato, where it hardens into little chunks. 

Sagada - (all shops) Ube gelato base made with 8lbs of ube per batch. Coconut caramel is made by melting sugar until golden, then adding in butter, salt, and coconut cream. We also toast shredded coconut that gets mixed into the caramel for texture and an extra boost of coconut flavor.
