This July marks the start of an exciting new tradition: every month, we’ll guide you through a culinary exploration of a different Italian region with our Viaggio D’Italia series. This special offering features a thoughtfully crafted three-course menu for each season, perfectly paired with wines that highlight the unique flavors, rich history, and vibrant culture of a remarkable destination 🇮🇹

Our first destination is Abruzzo, running from July 13 to August 2. Situated between the majestic Apennine Mountains and the beautiful Adriatic Sea, Abruzzo boasts a rugged terrain that has shaped a cuisine based on simplicity, deep-rooted traditions, and exceptional local produce. Its hearty, soulful dishes are best enjoyed in good company, complemented by a generous serving of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo.

To enhance your dining experience, we’ve put together an optional wine flight featuring exquisite selections from the esteemed importer and sommelier, Lorenzo Scarpone. Growing up on his family’s vineyard in Abruzzo, Lorenzo has dedicated his career to promoting Italy’s small artisan winemakers while sharing the region’s rich heritage, commitment to sustainability, and outstanding wines with a global audience.

This July, we’re beginning a new tradition: each month we’ll take you on a culinary journey through a different region of Italy with our Viaggio D’Italia series—a seasonal three-course menu thoughtfully paired with wines that celebrate the flavors, history, and culture of one extraordinary place 🇮🇹

Our first stop is Abruzzo, available July 13 – August 2. Nestled between the Apennine Mountains and the Adriatic Sea, Abruzzo’s rugged landscape shaped a cuisine rooted in simplicity, tradition, and incredible local ingredients. It’s rustic, soulful cooking meant to be gathered around with a generous pour of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo.

To complement the menu, we’ve curated an optional wine flight featuring selections from renowned importer and sommelier Lorenzo Scarpone. Born and raised on his family’s vineyard in Abruzzo, Lorenzo has spent his career championing Italy’s small artisan winemakers and sharing the region’s rich heritage, sustainable philosophy, and remarkable wines with the world.

From growing up in his aunt’s restaurant in the mountains of West Virginia to refining his craft in Michelin-starred kitchens across New York, Chicago, and Napa Valley, Chef Chris brings decades of experience and passion to our team.

His culinary journey has taken him through some of San Diego’s most celebrated kitchens, including George’s California Modern, Cowboy Star, Pendry San Diego, and B**a.
