(Walt Disney World) I was a child and sitting on a bench eating a giant turkey and stuffed more full than a pop belly. Sitting there after eating that turkey leg, I didn't know if I want to go on more rides or take a nap. The fullness of that one leg nobody can't compare. Let
alone the other food that was still no touched, plus the drink, and dessert. My mom always told me, well at least you got food for later. It will be one of those memories I will never forget. From there I would grow more love for BBQ through the years. My father (BUBBA) would always cook. ribs, burgers, crab, fish, you name it. You can say I got it from him. From family gatherings, BBQ stands, BBQ restaurants. you name it. BBQ was always something in our home and somewhere to try mouth watering, tender, juicy, and delicious food that would put you into a food coma until next week. Cooking BBQ has been in our generations. From family, friends, and strangers, have all contributed to the most awesome recipes and tastes that make The Crazy Turkey possible. Before the military I would enjoy BBQ at my high school JROTC instructor(SGT Kraemer) recipes. He would cook his famous burgers which we all knew to love and try to copy. They were that good. From there I would travel the world a taste attend many cookouts and taste the most amazing BBQ creations that people can come up with. Original, fusion, international, east coast, down south, Midwest, Texas, Carolinas. Serving in the military taught me a lot. Discipline, courage, dedication, respect, loyalty, strength, honor and the list goes on. I am truly thankful and wouldn't change it or the world. Most of all it taught Believe in something greater than yourself! After proudly servicing in the military (USMC ), I wanted to dedicate my service further, by doing something that brings us all together, which is food. A way to continue my service to the my community, my country and the world. Service to others. That is what makes us great! While on vacation with my family in Florida I visited Disney once again to give my kids the experience that I once had, and I wanted them to get a taste those amazing, giant, gladiator turkey legs that I once ate. Upon not going to the park, I search high and low for those famous turkey everywhere. That's when I said. If I can't find it, then I will make it. From there The Crazy Turkey was can to life. I said why don't I specialize in that very things while cooking the BBQ from our family legacy and create something magical. We enjoy you taking the time to read our history and how we are here to service you while delivering amazing food and hospitality.
