An update from Josh!!!

I met so many wonderful guests at my restaurant, and as sad as it still is that I had to make the decision to close, I have found a new home and would love to see you again!

I have joined the team at Mermaids & Cowboys in La Jolla as their new events and marketing manager!!!

I hope that a lot of you I made genuine connections with visit me in my new home, lots of you are truly missed!

I set out to put my dream to a reality and I succeeded, however, the pandemic has thrown me, like many others, too much to be able to sustain a promising future. I love the customers I’ve met and the people I’ve employed that now are part of my amazing family. It’s a sad ending to an amazing adventure, and we all appreciate the support that everyone has shown us throughout this challenging time. We wish the best for you all, and we are ready for what life will bring us next!!!

Our enmoladas dicorciadas are so delicious! We pair chicken tinga with our red chile molé, and carnitas with our green tomatillo molé.
Did you know we craft our cremas in house with cashews to maintain a dairy free and gluten free kitchen?
We also have vegan jackfruit options for our vegan friends as well (and our new Caesar Salad is 100% vegan)!

Our next Paint & Sip is this Thursday, August 5th and instructed by the fabulous .marie.art! Lindsay will guide you through an acrylic art class this Thursday for a fun Paint & Sip at Cocina Calavera!

Our first martini has landed at Cocina Calavera!
Yuzu infused Vodka, our house made lemon-ginger sour, a spritz of Orange Bitters with a monk fruit rim!

Some of our seasonal items are slowly coming off the menu, BUT we are adding new menu items going into summer!
We will soon be adding a Caesar salad (still all vegan and GF)!!! Full salads with options to add protein on top, and as a substitute for rice and beans for our health conscious crowd!

New margarita alert!!! Starting this weekend we are adding La Sandia Margarita to the menu!
’s Blanco Tequila, ’s cold pressed watermelon and lemon juices, organic monk fruit extract, muddled basil with a habanero salt rim. 😋🔥
